It looks like something from and plays even worse. Why they bother with all the unrealistic, tedious animations, repetitive John Virgo 'funny man of snooker' commentary is beyond me. If however these were tacked onto a brilliant snooker sim then fine.
But unfortunately and unbelievably things go down hill. Horrible shot set up with a confusing control interface and a distinctly unsatisfying conclusion whatever the shot's outcome. A travesty of a full price title. I don't understand people rating this anything above 1 star. It must surely be their first ever baize simulation. Give the 5 year old Virtual Pool 3 a try to see how it should be done on the PC at least. The mouse is your cue action and it works so well.
These guys should go back to making games for mobile phones 'cos that's how it feels even at a resolution of x with a ultra high performance video card Got this today, been on it non stop for about 6 hours. I have had previous versions of the snooker games but was waiting for this for months, and i am not disappointed.
Graphically this is a very good looking game, it runs very well on my vista machine, installation was simple, just a few clicks and it does everything for you, had to change the resolution settings as the computer set it to low. The controls are simple, the games are good, AI seems to be quite good, but I have not got to play any top players yet, been playing qualifiers and not got past 3rd round, but thats just my lack of skill.
Commentry gets repeditive but at times is humourus, anyway if you are looking for a pc version that runs on vista and is better than game then this is it. But I was disappointed - after such a long wait, this is a backward step.
You'd think some of these nerdy programmers would be gamers but obviously not - control is slow and cumbersome and position indicator graphics less sharp than before.
